Great Cooktop! – Although this was not our first choice within the Thermomate family of cooktops we couldn’t be more pleased with the selection. We purchased a five burner induction model that experienced a control panel issue which required us to choose another model. The customer service assistant that worked with us was extremely prompt and courteous in dealing with the replacement model and we would not hesitate to purchase another Thermomate In the future.

Works decent. A little hard to clean. Looks beautiful. – The stove is easy to install. Had to hire an electrician. He got it in but had to spice wires with our older stove to use it with our current box. The stove looks really nice and modern. It is a bit hard to get cooked on stuff off of it but that happens on a rare occasion. Pans can slide when it is wet with drips if you aren’t careful. Everything is spaced out nice on it even for larger pans and I used the center mostly but was able to easily get many pans on it while cooking for Thanksgiving. One downfall, the stove is a bit hard to clean completely. I usually let it soak a bit with spray. One other issue is that the stove takes a little bit longer to heat up. I have to turn it to 9 and then that is the highest setting so I have to wait for it to heat up then turn it down a bit. It takes longer than my old coil stovetop. As far as looks go, it’s sleek and ultra modern. It looks stylish and I was so happy to get rid of the previous knobs so I can set things flat on it. I do like the lock function. It makes it hard to press buttons when you are setting things on top like groceries. It does allow me to use the space like a counter top when I am not cooking. That lock will come in good for small children. However a password would be good so if they are smart enough to press that unlock button it would be easy to turn on. Over all I would give it an 8 stars for beauty, function, and durability. I wish it would heat a bit faster but otherwise it’s a good stove top if you are looking for a modern look. I have had zero problems with the electrical components or burners so far.

love the stove top – I love my new stovetop, the 5 burner option is great. Never had a glass top before and clean up is much easier. Also as this stove top was slimmer than our previous one we were able to install 2 drawers under it. One of the burners did quit working but the company backed up their product by sending a new replacement. The support staff was great and worked with us to get the replacement and return the one with the bad burner all within a very short time. Based on our experience I would recommend this company and product.

We haven’t tried the timed cook feature and not sure why we would use this for a cook top. The lock engage button is located just below the on/off button and is way too easy to select. While it is easy to unlock, it is annoying. Having 5 burners is nice though we haven’t needed to use all five at once.

The supplied electrical cord is not properly “pre-wired” for a standard 3-wire installation. – The supplied electrical cord is not properly “pre-wired” for a standard 3-wire installation. The factory has tied the L1 and L2 together to one hot side (L1). They then tie L2 supply to Neutral. If you try to use your own 3-wire (L1, L2, Grd) and wire it as indicated on the rangetop’s wiring panel, L1, L2, Grd, you will wind up with a mis-wired configuration that works somewhat, but no dual element on right side, and takes much longer to heat up food. I read some reviews from customers who have obviously mis-wired the rangetop because of this.
