Clear cubes and lots of ice quickly – Purchased this ice maker after several failed attempts by appliance repairmen to fix our refrigerator’s ice maker. So far the Luma has worked as advertised. The ice cubes are clear, and the machine makes a lot of ice. I was surprised how quickly it made the first batch, much faster than our refrigerator’s ice maker ever did even when it was working properly. Too new to comment on the Luma’s longevity, but so far it works great.

Curious about cleaning hacks – Just seeing if anyone has any cleaning hacks/part replacements that work to keep this thing clean. I ended up moving on to a Nostalgia brand that doesn’t have the same seeming supernatural resistance to cleaning practices that the Luma did, but the ice basket is too close to the freezing area so it’s just always big blocks of ice that I need to break up every drop (it usually stops for FULL) after 2 drops before I have to do that which is a huge hassle during parties.

So far it is very good – My family moved and we are living in an Airbnb as we search for a house. Our freezer in the Airbnb isn’t too big so we were buying bags of ice and using a cooler; that was adding up fast and I had looked at this before so I decided to buy immediately. Shipping and delivery were great and, after listing it sit upright for 2 hours I added water and began to make ice. This really produces a lot of ice. Overall, I am pleased.

Works great – The machine works great at making ice and keeping it frozen inside the machine when it fills up with ice. When you take ice out it starts making ice again right away. The only complaint is that even when I set it for thicker ice, the ice is actually the same. Otherwise very pleased.

Better than the rest – I have had ice makers for the last 5 years. While all have done ok, this one is the Champ! It was easy to set up. *make sure to read the instructions before turning on. There is a way to make your ice thicker!*.
