Great product, difficult install – 5 stars for product, 3 for getting installed. Overall, Really fantastic product. I think it works well, filters fantastic, looks spot on. Maybe can add a picture but the other installed picture does it justice.

Beautiful! – I searched high and low for a range hood that was a wall mount, recirculating (non vented), with out a chimney. The search took forever and I didnt even know if this would work with my vision. Futher, I wanted something with round edges as to not bang into the cabinet doors when opened. I settled for this one. I knew it was and under mount but ask my contractors if they could mount it another way under the floating shelves I had planned, as I did not want cabinets above my stove. I did not install it, my contractors did, so I can speak to how they did it. I just know they make it work. I was so excited! It really is a show piece!

Needs More Light – Overall this range hood looks awesome over my GE Cafe Range. It seems to work well but its to soon to tell how it handles grease with no outside vent. So far I am please with everything except the two little LED Lights. I wish they could be tipped a little in their housings or two additional lights installed toward the rear of the hood would help. The lightning is concentrated on the front burners and is dim on the rear burners.

Exactly what we needed – As you can tell from the photo, we had a tight space to fit an above range hood vent. I scoured the Internet to find one that would fit without our cabinet door hitting it. I’m so glad I found this one and didn’t have to compromise on design. Function wise, we love it. It’s a quality product. Installation was not that bad because my husband is well versed in these types of things. But don’t expect the instructions to provide you with much guidance.

Kobe is unresponsive – Overall I love my Kobe and it is a 5 star item. However the baffle filters get stuck and become difficult to remove. Plus skimpy instructions about cleaning yet they instruct you to clean baffles, oil tunnel, spacers and fan regularly. One solution is to study the parts list to find out where the oil channel actually is on the SQBD-3. Online I also discovered the “parts location and replacement” manual, which requires study because it is uncommunicative. And it isn’t clear that the oil channel is all that easy to unscrew and put back after cleaning. I think if i keep the inside wiped down after removing the baffles and regularly put the baffles in the dishwasher, it should be fine. After 4 months of use I found a pool of oil on my range and decided to try again to remove baffles with eventual success. Kobe does not answer their emails. They do have a website, but you are on your own on this one. Overall I am glad I have it. I love the look. I think it is a stable product and it picks up all the tiniest bits of grease and etc. But you are riding it alone, especially if you have to order parts, I am assuming.

The complaint has always been that the lights are insufficient, but I’m quite disappointed now to find out that I can’t even figure out how to replace the light fixture. One has been out for a while, I finally got around to figure out how to open the light housing but I can’t even figure out how to replace that tiny light.
