Perfect solution! – Awesome. I am very happy with this vent hood. The led lights are very bright without being harsh. The vent does a good job pulling air and smoke up. (Thanks Hubby) My stove is a 30″ gas cook top. We replaced the huge dinosaur microwave that was over the stove with this vent hood and it is the perfect solution. Next we are going to remove the cabinet doors and build a wood hood that goes all the way up to the ceiling and then paint it to match the island color. Only con is it is a bit loud on the high setting. But It’s no big deal. The low setting works great too and is pretty quiet. Very pleased with this product.

Very good insert at this price level and dimensions. – Broan recommended this model to replace my existing PM-25 that was twenty years old. This insert is much improved over the previous model however, there were a few drawbacks for my application. Being an insert versus a surface mount required fabricating and installing a 2.5″ extension under the hood to avoid major duct alteration. Second, unlike the previous model that easily accepted a 7″ duct, this one has three flanges extending that require a lot of force to insert the duct then taping to seal and keep it in place. That trigged needing to take off the front panel of the custom wood which was nailed, sealed, and painted when newly installed and requires a lot of work to touch up now. That could have been avoided if it had the same collar as the previous model. Last, this model’s LED lights are a soft white which does not match our undercabinet lighting. Minor, but it would be nice to have adjustable light settings and a little brighter. Overall a very good item that will provide years of reliable service.

May not be adequate. – It is not a very big unit. I thought it would be larger. The liner that is used in conjunction with this actually fills a good portion of the Chimney cabinet with a much smaller rectangle for this to fit into. The CFM is less then 400CFM. I tried to use the Char broiler on my wolf stove with this vent on the highest setting and it still set off my smoke alarm. It’s not a 2K Vent-A-Hood, so I guess I should not have expected it to perform like one.

Nice product . – Looks great, sounds quiet, light works, inexpensive for a sleek looking style. Only downside is it did not come with the charcoal filter that it needs so order that at the same time. I found out if it is direct vented outside doesn’t need the charcoal filter.

Works for my application – This unit via not expensive and it was recommended as a direct fit for my range hood cabinet from Fabuwood. It did require me to get creative and use automotive metal speed clips on the hood liner that came with my range hood, and of course I had to cut hole in my cabinet.
