This is a smart hood! – This hood is heavy! Be prepared to enlist help, and checking a You Tube video for tips is a good idea. But its worth it. Its smart, something I didn’t know, until, failing to put the blower on, it turned itself on when the steam got to a certain point. In the interest of brevity I won’t list all the features the description lists, not those of other reviewers, but I recommend it, in spite of a feature or two you might have to compromise on. For the money, its the nicest hood I found. Decide what’s important to you, multiple speeds, easy clean, etc. then make your choice. I’m more than happy with my purchase and my criticism is the touch controls on the smooth glass front are hard to use in the dark or reduced light, but then, there is a remote.

Beautiful, Powerful range hood w Bright Lights – The range hood arrived well packaged in perfect condition. At 48 lbs. it is at least twice as heavy as the older 36” Broan it was replacing, with two fans generating 900 cfm suction vs. 250 on the old model . We cut the plug in off and did a direct wire into the existing wiring samecas the Broan. It took 3 grown men an hour to install (not a complaint just the reality ) due to the weight and the tight fit under my cabinet. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THIS UNIT BYBYOURSELF. The unit itself fit perfectly , but the 3”x10” duct was off about 3/4” so we used an oscillating saw to increase the hole in the back of the cabinet and allow us room to shift the vent to the left to match the unit. For sone reason the old hood vent opening was not centered on the unit while this Iktch unit was . Once installed, the unit is gorgeous and vibrates a little on the the highest #4 setting. The hand waving to turn on and adjust fan and turn light off and on works well. The remote is a little wonky though . You need to stand directly in front of the unit with the remote almost at same level as the unit for it to work properly. Overall though, we love its sleek look , high suction power and hands free operation, and most importantly my wife loves it! HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE!!!
