Very useful ice shaver! – So far I’ve had the ice maker/shaver for 6 months and love it from high capacity to kids snow Cones. It’s well worth the cost.

Great for summer time!! – This ice machine was a nice surprise. We had a smaller ice machine in the past which served us for many years, but it broke some years ago. We love going to the park and to the beach in the summer, and we always take our Playmate cooler with drinks and snacks in it – and it is always good to have extra ice at home to fill the cooler with it. We don’t need to stop at the gas station to get ice anymore. I put the ice cubes in large zip bags in the freezer and when we need it, we have it. This ice maker produces a good batch of ice during the day. We did not hook it up to the faucet, because I know that in the winter it will not be used as much. It is very easy to use on the countertop. There is a plug on the bottom, which I opened to wash the machine inside before the first use. There is a fill line. Just fill in with water and plug the machine. A light will turn on once the machine needs water. The ice maker will automatically dump the ice in the bucket that is located on top of the water reservoir. I just think that the tray should not be a little deeper. I thought I would use the shaver only to make slushies for my nephews and nieces, but I ended up using it for martinis, which was a plus. To use the shaver, you open the top of the machine and put the ice cubes on the designated compartment using the scoop that comes with the machine. There is a little door in front of the ice maker where you can place your cup or glass where the shaved ice will fall to. Just press the button and done. It would be nice if it came with a cup that fits in that door. BTW, if you feel like hooking up this machine to a water outlet, it comes with a filter and the supplies you might need. (I cannot give my feedback on that because I did not use the supplies). Overall it was a good purchase and I hope it lasts at least as much as our old one.

There is a bowl area on the side for shaved ice, I just scoop my ice into that bowl and it makes shaved ice in a matter of seconds. The ice maker also included accessories, a scoop, a measuring cup, a filter, and a removable ice basket. My whole family is thoroughly enjoying the ice and the shaved ice.

Just BUY iT! – I say just buy it because this thing is AWESOME! I pour into the truth about a gallon or so of filtered water and literally, 8 minutes later you have ice cubes. I’ve chewed ice every day for over 25 years and wish I would’ve had one of these sitting on my bathroom vanity 24 years and 11 months ago. Keep your bathroom fan on and rig up a couple or so computer fans drawing the hot air away from the ice maker up and out of the bathroom. As to the noise put a sponge or something to quiet the ice dropping. I can not recommend enough how amazing the price per value, ease of use, and CONVENIENCE of this ice maker is. Plus it make friggen snow cones too!!
