Jekyll/Hyde machine – The washing machine is very finicky. What good is the decent capacity when it’s constantly unbalanced, requiring stopping and restarting multiple times? I don’t care how carefully bulky items are placed in the machine, it’s never good enough, and the banging noises and vibration sound as if the doors of Hell have opened. The plate at the bottom of the machine swallows up items, requiring the jaws of life and incantations to get them pried loose. The dryer is great – quick and efficient – as long as you are willing to replace the buttons it tears off shirts. Another reviewer stated that the machine has a short life expectancy; I hope that’s true.
