Great product – This connector is easy to install and it seems high quality. I’m very happy with it, hence the five star rating. However, I want talk about my experience regarding two issues that several other reviewers have complained about.

Good Value Easy to Use on my Refrigerator Water Supply Line – Bought the Amazon Warehouse deal version I am assuming someone returned for just over half price. I used on a Samsung refrigerator I bought in the store and at Costco and had a friend with a truck help me get home. The fridge did not come with a water supply line. Lucky for me the water outlet for my 04 house is right behind the fridge so this was a super easy install. I guess you could probably use ptfe tape or pipe dope but since this had a fitting that seemed like it was compression I chose not to. I really like these braided houses and definitely recommend them.

Good strong water hose – Braided hose seems pretty strong. Purchased it to replace a 13 yr old hose that I didn’t trust since it exceed its life’s span. I only need this to last three years which I think it will before I move out of state.

No foul chemical taste! – My new LG refrigerator came with an Eastman water connector and the water and ice had a foul chemical taste in spite of having ran at least 10 gallons of water through the system. I discovered that it was the Eastman connector that was causing the foul taste, I replaced the Eastman connector with the Fluidmaster 12IM72 Braided Stainless Steel Ice Maker Connector Water Line and the foul taste went away!

So, I was in the market for a replacement, which I hope will last for an even longer time. Braided stainless steel sounded perfect, and it was. It has been a couple of months now, and not even the slightest hint of a leak. The installation instructions were very clear, and the results are exactly as I had hoped.
