1/4 inch Fridge Hose – We have a Samsung fridge that either did not come with a hose or the hose was just too short. We ordered the fridge from a military website, so it’s not like we got it from an actual appliance store that would or could tell us what to get. After consulting the owners manual and some Googling, we found that fridge hoses come in two sizes. If your fridge take a 1/4 inch hose, this should fit. We attached it the fridge and wall and boom- water and ice.

No funky taste, right length, worked great for us! – During our home inspection before buying our house, the inspector recommended replacing the copper fridge water supply line with a flexible one so it wouldn’t kink and leak. I read about this one, and many of the reviews mentioned a funky taste after installation. I went ahead and ordered it, but prior to installation I ran a bunch of tap water through it for at least 3-4 minutes (I had to hold the supply line right against the faucet to force the water through). After installation, we didn’t notice a bad taste at all. Also, i was a little concerned that the 5 ft hose would be too long. However, it’s about the right length to allow the fridge to roll out and get behind it.

Works great, high quality construction. – This was purchased as a replacement due to the fact that the original hose was too short and would easily get twisted up.This hose was the perfect length for my shower. The length allows the sprayer to go from one end of the shower to the other. Even though the hose is longer than the original one it’s still short enough that it doesn’t hit the shower pan when it’s put into the wall mounted bracket. I like the fact that it’s constructed of thick brass connections at the ends. Also that the stainless steel part of the end connections are milled from solid stainless steel. Due to the Quality construction of the hose ends the hose itself and sprayer spin very freely. With out twisting the hose at all. I made this purchase over a year ago and there is no corrosion or rust anywhere on it. The ends still spins freely with no leaks. The stainless steel finish is in the same condition as when it was new. I would definitely recommend this shower hose. I have actually bought a second one for my other shower.

durable connector, no taste probz after flushing – I used this with my new fridge and it has been great- would like it to be more flexible and have a right angle connector but such a thing does not seem to exist. this feels fery well made. I used a syringe to flush with water before I even connected it and even pushed vinegar through it to help with any possible bad taste. When I hooked it up I flushed the system as recommended by Samsung and did not detect any taste other than clean water. The ice tasted terrible for quite awhile but the Samsung fridge is lined with the most toxic smelling styrofoam that is actually directly visible in the ice bin area so I think that is why the ice tasted so bad. I read reviews before that mentioned bad taste to the ice but not the water which made no sense to me but wonder if the ice bin itself is more to blame in those cases. Anyway, months later I am nothing but happy with this. I do think that flushing it first saved me some frustration but even if you dont, the smell will eventually go away.
