Fit spilled in box – I noticed other consumers had problems with the bottles leaking onto other items in the shipment. Two of those items that I ordered were food products. Even though the bottle was in a plastic bag to protect it from leaking all over the shipping box, the bag wasn’t even sealed. There was no seal of any kind on the bottle, just the cap. It also smells funny. Is the oil in the product rancid? I don’t know whether to use it or not. I have bought this before and so I did not read the reviews. If I had, I would never have bought it again.

Wash that fruit – This was my first purchase of Fit in a couple of years. The taste and odor are different than I remember, and not as neutral as before. I would characterize it as slightly soapy. Strawberries did not retain any taste or odor from soaking more than 20 minutes (after rinsing twice.) I sprayed apples with Fit. They needed to be rinsed a little longer, than in the past.

An Excellent Product – Update 7/10/12 – For several years, I purchased Fit Fruit and Vegetable Wash from WalMart. It was featured in the produce section, which made sense.

Peace of Mmind – I have been an immigrant in this country for 30 years and I always wondered how the fruits and vegetables were grown so beautifully without any signs of bugs or worms in this country. Then, the pesticide came to mind. I stopped eating fruits and vegetables for one period of time because of thoughts of “poisoning” myself, but missed the taste very much. when I was growing up in Far East, we had detergents to wash off all impurities on the fruits and vegetables before we consumed them. I asked friends if such kind of detergent exist in this country. No one heard of it. I was living in San Francisco Bay Area and the organic fruits and vegetables started, I was happy to have my fruits and vegetable again. Then, I relocated to East coast, organic produce was not as common, I stopped having fruits and vegetables again.
