Not the ice shown in reviews. – We were so excited to get this ice maker going – our previous ice maker made the “bullet” cubes (not like Sonic ice) and when it died, we thought this was going to be a terrific upgrade. It creates ice cubes that are nice and solid squares, but it dumps them out in a solid sheet that you have to bust up to use.

Great all-around countertop icemaker – The machine makes nicely shaped ice, but not as clear as we expected. We contacted customer service, they suggested we try bottled water for really clear ice. Customer service was responsive. The machine makes noise, but is not too loud. The machine does not keep the ice cold, so consider removing it and storing it in a freezer for longer term use. The machine is a nice counter top ice maker, small enough to move around and no plumbing adds to the portability. Nice to be able to set up the ice maker elsewhere if the bar for the party is not in the kitchen.
