Ive seen better units… – I know a few people who own portable ice makers. I find this unit to be loud. Its also got a small basket that needs to be emptied frequently to avoid ice melting from the large stream of water dumped with every load out of the bucket. To return to resevoir to be reused, the water flows into the basket where icecubes are at. The basket sits in the space the water travels in. If less water got dumped from the freeze tub the ice wouldnt melt so fast.

Small, Portable and Quick Ice Cubes – I love the handle on it and the fact that it is a bit smaller. I have another icemaker in the kitchen and it’s very tough to move and heavy. This can be moved from room to room depending on your set up and even placed outside for a small gathering in the summer, or even in the garage – or RVing! The basket is small but holds plenty of ice; comes with a handle that I keep right in the basket. Easy to operate. L/S – Large and small size cubes. Add Water and Ice Full. It makes ice really fast. The large ice cubes are small but compare equally with my larger machine upstairs. The basket sits on a little extension so it is easy to see how high you should fill it without guessing. To be honest, rather than going through their initial cleaning instructions, I just threw out the first reservoir of ice cubes (about three baskets of cubes) to be sure it was rinsed thoroughly before using them in drinks. The buttons are on the top; if storing under a cupboard, it’s a little harder to see them. Because it is so portable, right now I simply have it sitting in the back room on the dryer.
