Arrived dented but otherwise very happy – Arrived dented due to poor packaging. Seems like this is somewhat common. Decided to proceed since once installed we wouldn’t see the dent. Easy to install – ours was ductless and we didn’t crack the instruction manual. We had to drill 2 holes into the top metal to install it to the solid wood part of our cabinets. The anchors that came with it are garbage and don’t suit the screws that come with it so I used anchors and screws that I had on hand to secure it to the back wall through the drywall. I wish the lights were more down facing than they are but overall a beautiful aesthetic. I love how thin this hood is and the curved metal edge to match the stove. Overall, happy with this hood especially for the price.

Fair quality for the price – I don’t have a lot of clearance above my range, so this was the thinnest option I could find for a recirculating hood at this price point. My smoke detector definitely goes off less with this thing! There are too many buttons, and the LED light is cooler than I like. I taped some orange light filters over the lights to warm them up to match the rest of my kitchen lighting.

Motor burns out – We have had this for 2 years now. It started making a squealing noise so we kept taking it apart and cleaning it but the motor burnt out and started smoking.

Got what I expected for the price. – The previous reviews others gave were informative. I felt I knew what I was getting into. Those reviews set my expectations and were on point. It’s very slim and more modern looking than any others out there for a much more affordable price. I just wasn’t willing to pay allot for a fan with light. Price gets an A+. I didn’t expect high quality due to other reviews and mine arrived with what would appear to be dents, but it was actually a tiny bit warped where the screw assembly was applied on the top. Not sure if this product is being assembled with a power tool, but it looks like too much torque is being used. This warping however was on the top and once installed, could not be seen. The fan seemed a little loud on the third setting but is also quite powerful. Not sure what everyone is cooking to need that much suction, but doubt I’ll ever use it on the highest speed. Lights are great. The push button controls don’t seem very sturdy and were not quite aligned with the holes. I did not vent mine to the outside and got charcoal filters. Do not get the recommended filters where it says “people also purchased this”. It’s the wrong filters. Filters do not come with it and must be purchased separately. I also cut the plugin off the back and hard wired it in. It’s pretty light weight and easy to install with a helper. OVERALL, I really like it and seems to work great. I also bought it with the expectation that’s it’s probably not gonna be perfect. Sadly, it could be a perfect product with a little more heavy duty materials. The metal for instance is a thinner grade. But it did match my other stainless appliances. The product doesn’t get a 5 star though because of the warped metal appearance and a little flimsy buttons. Pay no attention to those that complain about the instructions and installation. There’s something wrong with those people. You’re Welcome.

Great Addition – Easy to install, well made, has everything needed to attach. It is not overly loud, the charcoal filters are easy to use. The lights are bright enough to be useful (the old hood light was a joke) and the slim profile gives me more room over the range. At 6′ 2″ I would occasionally bump my head on the old style range hood this replaced. I have not hit this one yet – and if I do this has rounded edges so it won’t hurt as much.

Company was great – We installed this unit and when we turned it on it sounded very loud – we were hoping that was because of damage, rather than how the unit actually was supposed to sound. We sent video to the company and although we had passed our return to Amazon window, the company that sold it immediately sent us a new unit. How great is that?! The new one works great, and is very quiet. We are very thankful that there was no argument or problems in getting a new properly working hood – we didn’t even have to return the damaged one. We will give that away for free, perhaps someone can fix the internal fan and make use of it. Very happy with this product and the company selling it.
