Really high quality product – This is a very good product, it come with a dent in the top trim piece. I contacted nutone and they had me a replacement piece at the house in two days. The only issue I seen was it was a little tight fastening the locking bolts down and the bottom brackets in a 32 inch cabinet.

Sketchy seller – will not reasonably cover damage to items it ships updated – This was shipped to a renovation project three hours from us and arrived with the top panel bent. Our installers took it out to measure with the new granite countertop and found it badly bent on one side. Now, after presenting this to seller, they require (without any forewarning) pictures of all sides of the box. The installers and or builder threw their trash away, so we’ve been told we’re out of luck. Obviously, if you buy from this seller, realize you may get stuck with something they or their shipper did.

Great unit for the money. – The first one I ordered never arrived so I canceled the order. I ordered again in a few weeks and it arrived in just a few day, in great shape. We were having a new gas stove top installed and this was installed at the same time.

Works great. – Works great, suction good, little noisy but that’s what fans do. Wish the motor was on the other side or was reversible. The motor is in the way for a range, really only good for a cook top where the motor can go under. Good for the money.

Bear to install – Weight made it very difficult to raise over countertop and drop in behind cook top, so I removed the motor which reduced weight significantly and then reattached motor from inside the cabinet. Much better. Probably not a project for less experienced do it yourselfers as have to run the ductwork and connect thru the floor for our 100 year old house, but I got it done and has amazing suction. The unit makes an annoying initial clunking sound when first engages the lift mechanism, but had warranty service come and took it apart(after I had already done the same) and that is apparently the way it is. Was less noticeable once got the cooktop in(closing cavity)but I would say this should have been designed better to eliminate that noise for the price.

My contractor and husband said it wouldn’t work……..guess what they were wrong!!!!!!!! – This product is perfect for my needs. I didn’t want the look of a huge clunky hood above my big beautiful island. This does the job, it is a bit loud, but nothing too bad. It sucks the steam and odors in just fine. I have had it for more than a year and I couldn’t live without it.
