More Cons that Pros – I purchased this washer a year ago (not at Amazon, but posting a review so others can learn some of my issues before making a purchasing decision).

Piece of junk! – The agitator will put holes in clothes, towels or whatever you wash in it. Encountered damaged clothing from the start. Do not buy Amana washers.

Do Not Buy – I didn’t purchase the machine from Amazon. However, I must warn whoever wants to purchase. The Amana washer, I bought broke down after 6 months with minimal usage. The service person who came to fix it told me it would take 8 weeks to get the replacement part. I contacted the repair company and was told to contact Whirlpool customer service directly since a customer had more clout. The Whirlpool customer service was horrible. Automated only with no option to speak to a customer service representative. I chose the call back feature and was given a date one week later when they would contact me. Absolutely frustrated. Happy for those folks that got a good machine and hope those that decide to purchase don’t get the same experience with the washer or the horrid customer service.

Sensitivity hard to figure out – It’s whisper quiet (nice) but I can hear it start to load and come back it hasn’t filled. Not sure what delay is. If I restart and stand there eventually it starts. It’s new so I’m trying to get hang of it. It’s huge and cute. Looks good.

Ties the clothes in knots. – Everything comes out of this washer a wrinkled mess. I’ve attached photos of some sheets I just washed. It cleans the clothes, etc okay, and the selections are nice. But every single thing will have to either go in the dryer or be ironed. Just hanging clothes to dry will not get rid of the wrinkles (this was not an issue with my last washer). The lock feature is unneeded for me and annoying.

This is a big guy! – It is very big.Running very quiet.Just a few more panel buttons,It’s a bit complicated to operate,I bought it for an old man who doesn’t understand English.Overall good,It can wash a lot of clothes, much more than I imagined.
