FANTASTIC VALUE FROM AMAZON WAREHOUSE – Designed for outdoors but used it indoors. First setting on the fan was way more powerful than the max setting on my last hood. It takes 2 people to install it due to the weight. Some dings on the stainless surface but that was the reason for the deep discount of 75%. Thanks again Amazon Warehouse for the fantastic value.

not enough cfm – First let me say that this hood is beautiful. It just doesn’t have enough cfm. I am a builder and built a brand new house and installed this in my outdoor kitchen. It looks awesome. I was thrilled with the way it looked out of the box and hung on the wall.

Excellent outdoor grill hood – Z-Line makes a great product. I bought the crown molding to make the hood stand out a little more and the package looks amazing. The hood is relatively quiet, removes all of the smoke and a lot of the heat; cleans easily I could not me more pleased. They also give a lifetime motor warranty and this unit has 2 motors to generate 1200 cfm

Lights are at the back of the unit – Bought this as it was outdoor approved. However the lights are at the back of the unit and any benefit is blocked by the grill cover, therefore not much use. I would assume this to be the case for most grills. Super well packaged though. Even though the the packing box was damaged the hood arrived in great shape. Instruction could be better if they included a electrical rough-in diagram with dimensions, and a small mounting template for hole locations. Would be an awesome outdoor hood, for the price, if they would move the lights to the front for grilling.

new considerations for this Item. Please take note – after almost 2 years of use, happens that when used on extended ( 1 hour) use in high heath from the BBQ, the unit stopped working, and has to be turned off, until the unit has cooled out, for the unit to start working again.

easy to install – I had an electrical contractor install the unit, only problem is the transition to the ceiling, if it is not already in place, you will have to pay for a contractor to custom fabricate a Stainless Transition piece from the tube to the ceiling, and it comes with a 6″ hose, if your ceiling is 8 or 10″ you will have to get an adapter. Also comes with cord/plug, if you need to hard wire, contractor will have to splice.
