Nice upgrade – We had an over the range microwave with a vent fan. The handle broke and it just needed to be replaced. Rather than go back with a microwave we decided to go with just a range hood with fan and lights. The LED lights are very bright and of course energy efficient. The fan is quiet even on high. Installation was easy. This can be exhausted to the outside or through the filters and back into the room. Excellent bang for the buck, highly recommend!

lighting – the fan is nice, but the light is in the back of the fan instead of in the front like the old fan , and the installation was a little difficult because the holes did not line up to the old fans screws, and the power cord plug has to be direct wired or the fan will stick out 1 inch if you use the plug and plug it in an outlet, but I like the filters , they are easy to change.
