Quiet and sleek – We wanted to wait a year before writing a review, to make sure we have full experience. To this day, we are still very happy that we purchased this Kobe range exhaust hood. It is much quieter than our previous unit. We no longer dread cooking time as we no longer suffer from noise bombardment. Even at the highest fan speed, we can still comfortably carry a conversation.

Beautiful, quiet, but may require some cabinetry modification! – I brought this vent to replace a bulky OTR microwave I had in the house. We already had a small counter microwave for the kids to warm and make popcorn, so I don’t need this OTR microwave taking up space. I was also replacing this electric stove with a a new gas stove and I needed more clearance room that a vent hood would provide for a gas stove. I was also told from an appliance salesperson for a gas stove, I needed a vent that has at least 400 CFM for a gas stove. This Kobe vent states that it is a 680 CFM, so that works for my needs.

Love it. It arrived with the lights not working – Love it. It arrived with the lights not working. Called and had a replacement part sent. Guess they are having trouble with the lights.It is being discontinued.If you already have it installed they won’t come out to fix it unless you uninstall it. No way of knowing lights did not work until it was installed. We replaced the part ourselves.

Beautiful but wimpy – Just had this installed. Fairly difficult. Cabinet was 11″ deep and this is 12, so cabinet had to be removed and a fake stainless chimney had to be installed over motor. Measure inside of your cabinet carefully before purchase.

EXACTLY what I wanted and NEEDED!! – I had a big ‘ol microwave in this space and it was always in my face and I couldn’t even see the back burners (I’m 6’2″ tall). After living with a microwave in my face for 23 years, I finally replaced it with this awesome exhaust fan/hood from KOBE. I searched for a while before settling on this one, did my research and glad I did. It fit perfectly in my 30″ wide space with very minor modification required to existing cabinetry. It is high quality and the exhaust is awesome. Even on the quiet, lowest setting it will hold a paper towel firmly against it (see picture) The 2 lights are bright and nicely placed. I do wish it had 2 additional lights in the rear of the unit though but because the filters are there, there isn’t room. I like a lot of light when I’m cooking, so I just purchased an LED magnetic, rechargeable strip light ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08D68VP82/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) that attaches to the exhaust filter panels (shown in last picture). The filters are very sturdy and super easy to remove, clean and replace.
