After a couple of months, this ice maker is going to the dump! – I hope I can help you to not purchase this ice maker. Type in USA ice maker and get the 5 year warranty. You will come out ahead!

ok so far – First one they sent did not work , would put out 1 batch of ice and then shut off saying add water when water was full . sent it back replacement has been working now correctly for 6 days no issues . if it keep working will change rating . was able to send first one back for exchange ,but it was a pain to repackage and take to drop off . Time will tell if this new one holds up . I find the average age for these is 2 yrs before something brakes .

Good choice and seller response – The seller’s response to my question warrants special mention. Thank you! I could not get the plug out and was afraid to ruin the machine so I asked what to do. The response was very quick even on a holiday weekend! It appeared that the plug was stuck and I had to push down on it from the inside to get it to move the first time. The ice maker works well and quietly. I picked this one after a process I would call “analysis to paralysis ” in this case. I am pleased with my choice.

Melts quickly – Machine is nice. Makes ice quickly and efficiently. The bullet ice that is hollow melts so quickly. When bagging it freezes in a big lump. When putting in drinks, it melts very fast. This is the only reason I reduced the stars. Maybe I should have known this about the bullet type ice.
