When it works it is a nice machine – I want to love this machine, but my first issue was ice does not come out hard. I have to put it in the freezer right away. The second issue is too many error codes. I finding it very difficult to get two good cycles without error. I have to open drain plug, drain the water and restart to clear codes. Very annoying. Sometimes 2 drains before I get a good restart. Really wanted it to be a better machine. Love the look and build quality.

The freeze time is a bit understated, but can be increased. – The ice maker is nice looking and it works well. The instructions are a bit cryptic and hard to understand. Who ever wrote them does not have a good command of the English ( USA ) language. Most of it I could figure out. Some I never did, but did not need. The advertised (automatic) time produces ice but a bit thin. Square cubes but hollow. I increased the freeze time to the max + 6 minutes. Then the cubes were full squares. When the cubes drop they do not break apart completely. They are easily separated though. The machine is fairly quiet. I strongly suggest using distilled water. Otherwise deposits will build up on the metal that chills and freezes the water into ice. ( Our water here is hard. ) This is challenging to clean and creates problems with longer freezing times and failure to dump “stuck” ice. I like this form or shape of ice much better than the other round, cone, or half round shapes. It chills drinks quickly but does not inhibit flow when drinking. The ice shape is quite similar to what you buy in a bag at the convenience store or gas station.
