They will come off if one presses firmly downward. … – They will come off if one presses firmly downward. Must let just the weight of the machine be the only downward force. Expect this light weight machine to perform well on lightly waxed surfaces or touch up buffing, not thick wax or that which is hardened by time.

it was easy to assemble – Except for attaching the handle backwards, it was easy to assemble. Once you get used to keeping pressure on the unit the pads stay on. It is very lights and easy to use. I have not used it to buff yet, it does a good job scrubbing both ceramic tile and laminate.

Minor Problem – The gloss boss is the perfect size for my needs. Unfortunately the one I received had a split in the plastic causing a leak. I have sent it back for a replacement which will hopefully come soon.
