Great Stove Top – This came to us very efficiently during a very difficult time to get appliances. We were very happy with the delivery and it was very easy to install. It’s hard to rate the stovetop itself until I use it more.

New Cook Top Just Installed – It is beautiful. Looks just like I had hoped it would. Now that I have cooked several meals on it, I can tell you that I am very happy with this cook top. The instructions had me afraid that it was going to be hard to use and not ruin the beautiful finish but I had not need to be afraid. I used the old pots that I already had (a collection from 62 years of marriage) and everything turned out just fine. The first thing I did was let a pot boil over. The instructions warn about keeping ANY LIQUIDS off the hot cook top. But with normal soap and water clean up, everything was ok. 🙂 Of course I did not wait, I cleaned as soon as the top had cooled enough not to burn me, but it was not cool. I am afraid that if I had let it cool the goo would not have been as easy to wash off. 😉 I love my new cook top!

Great Replacement Cooktop – This cooktop was bought to replace a GE cooktop that has probably been in our home since built it 2002. It fit perfect and was fairly easy for my husband to hook up…it was a little thicker in depth so I had to take some of my cooking tools out of the drawer below it but that was not a big deal. I personally love the look of the stainless knobs compared to my old plain black ones. I’ve had a cooktop for the past 3 years (when we moved into our home) and I found that as long as you keep it clean once it cools after cooking they really stay beautiful and others have mentioned try not to slide pots and pans across the cooktop lift them instead to avoid scratching. If this one lasts as long as the last it is definitely a good value for the money.

So Far, So Good – So far, I’m a pretty happy camper. I would have preferred the model with the digital controls but there was a $500 difference in price for essentially the same unit. And you do have to be a bit of a “plumber” to get underneath your cabinet to make the connections. That being said, three color coded wires inside a junction box and you’re good. Otherwise, it was a perfect fit in my countertop opening and very attractive in appearance. And most importantly, all the elements heated up as expected.

I especially liked the stainless colored knobs & trim – I ordered 2 different ones. The Frigidaire was more expensive & came w/ a 5th burner. I thought that would come in handy. I was afraid it wouldn’t arrive in time for my kitchen remodel so I purchased this GE b/c it was on Prime. Well, they both arrived at the same time. So, after opening both boxes, the GE was much nicer looking. I especially liked the stainless colored knobs & trim. It really sets it off nicely. The Frigidaire has big clunky black plastic knobs that look stupid. I was going to replace the knobs if I was going to keep that one but the knobs are like $15 ea. That’s crazy! The knobs are what became the deciding factor! The extra burner is actually just a warming burner & really doesn’t serve much purpose for me. Now that the GE is installed, it works great & looks even better! I’m very happy w/ my purchase even if it did cost me an extra $50 since I couldn’t recoup all the expenses after returning the Frigidaire for restocking fee. You won’t be disappointed with the GE. It’s a nice, simple cooktop. No bells & whistles, just a pretty & dependable cooktop. There are lots w/ all sorts of extras like expanding burners but how often is that necessary. This one warms even my large pots just fine. I have no regrets at all after choosing the GE.

Easy to use and clean – great purchase decision! – I investigated to find the right cookbook for our home. This model had mostly positive comments on various sites. It’s also one of the most scratch resistant radiant heat stovetops available. I wanted to use my Revere Ware pots, that’s why I got a radiant instead of induction cooktop. I ended up getting stainless steel pans because over time the Revere Ware could cause damage to this model. The Amazon price was the best, and so was the five year warranty. I do enjoy cooking with it. Things seem to cook faster than our old (and I do mean old!) cooktop. I just had to get used to waiting till the cookbook cooled before cleaning it, and using Wyman’s cooktop cleaner on it.

Wonderful – We purchased this item to replace our old one that had finally seen its last day. In a world of flat screens, touchscreens, and buttons that have no feel, it was a great pleasure to be able to still purchase something with actual knobs. Our previous cooktop had all flat buttons. You could not set anything on the cooktop. If you accidentally bumped a button, you had all kinds of problems. This new cooktop is wonderful. You cannot accidentally turn it on. Also, it is wonderful for anyone who is visually impaired, or an older person who does not want to deal with newer technology. It allows you to still maintain your independence. While maintaining your independence, you also get an excellent appliance. Works wonderfully! No complaints, no disappointments. The front large burner has a rapid boil setting. The front left, small burner, has a warming setting. The back burners also have a, melting, setting. If you want to simply spend your time using the appliance, not learning how to use it, this is the cooktop that you need to get.
