It makes clear ice! – I searched for a counter-top ice machine when my refrigerator ice maker failed and I really didn’t like the ice it made anyways – half moon, cloudy, sediment filled soft ice. The choice became chewable nuggets, more half moons or cubes. Since I use ice primarily for iced tea, lemonade and cocktails, I wanted clear cubes. Hence, this was my choice and I picked Frigidaire for the brand.

– I really like this ice maker. It is very quiet and makes solid ice cubes. The one thing I would like is for the cubes to release as individual cubes and not as a slab of ice. I have to manually break the cubes apart. Otherwise it is a great ice maker. It keeps up with our needs… and we go through a lot of ice in an evening.

Best and most useful product I bought in 2022! – Love. The unit is quiet. It shuts off when the water is low. If you forget that you turned it on it will keep the ice cold until you empty the container. Easy to clean. Loads water in the top. Hit the start button and walk away. I had my first ice in 15 minutes for a glass full. Then the rest of the Thanksgiving party we had ice all night. It makes nice CLEAR square cubes that never have a problem being ejected. I hear some of the bullet ice makers have ice get stuck in the cartridge. We have well water so we fill it with bottled water out of a 5 gallon jug. There is a rechargeable spigot you can buy on Amazon which works great with these 5 gallon jugs. The unit sits under our bar out of sight but it is light weight and can be put on a counter if you like but it is bigger than a Keurig so you may want a hidden spot for it. The black color looks classy and is easy to clean

– I have no idea why this item gets such great reviews. It is flimsy, hard to clean, does not ever fully drain, and produces ‘pieces’ of hollowed out ice cubes, not full ice cubes.
