I WOULD NEVER BUY A DANBY PRODUCT AGAIN – Product arrived with several dents AND with the lid off center. When I put a dollar bill on the sealing gasket and close the top on the bill, there is absolutely ZERO resistance. Not only this, I can slide the bill back and forth with the lid closed on the dollar. The lid does NOT seal. I called Danby and spoke to a very nice lady who told me I would get a telephone call from Danby within 3 hours. This call never came. I did get a email asking me to send pictures of the damage and the off center top. Not only did I send pictures but I also sent a video showing me sliding the dollar bill up and down, back to front with the lid closed. If I knew how, I would post the video right here. I can live with the dents but not a freezer that Danby put into the market place that was clearly defective when put into a cardboard box that conceals the defect from the ultimate purchaser and Danby’s retail seller. A freezer that will not seal is going to frost up and ice up constantly. It will result in higher electric bills and will shorten the life of the freezer. Also Danby advertises the freezer as garage ready but still after years of concerns expressed on Amazon reviews, the paperwork received with the freezer still states the freezer is NOT garage ready. I call upon Danby, right here and now to publicly state that their “garage ready” statements are true. I do want to state that the retail seller, not Danby, was first class, 5 stars all the way. They immediately offered to accept back the freezer but unfortunately, part of the box was accidently thrown out by me so I knew the carrier would not accept it for a return. Danby WON’T call a repairman to inspect the freezer. They insist that I do this. Of course the repairman must be approved by Danby. So I’m required to go to the approved shop and ask them to come to my home and inspect my freezer. Really?? This sounds like something Danby should be doing. Honestly people, buy another product.

Great garage ready chest freezer. – This freezer really put a smile on my face. It was delivered in perfect condition. It’s quiet and seems well built. Now let’s get to real reason why I purchased this freezer. First, I had no desire to buy this on Amazon. Second, I really didn’t trust buying a freezer at Amazon. Well…. Forget all of that people!!!

EXCELLENT Freezer! – As my dad is getting older and has hunted all his life, I decided to take up hunting this year to spend time with him. While I greatly enjoyed spending time with my dad, the fruits of our hunting trips (no trophy hunts – this is hunting for FOOD) resulted in a rather unexpected bounty. Initially filling my home freezer with venison I quickly came to realize that it was grossly insufficient for the task at hand. Not really having any room in the house, I knew I’d have to put a freezer on my back porch to handle the additional storage.

Freezer good,delivery not so good! – I love the little freezer,works great!on the other hand the delivery said they would be here between 11 and 3 then it was 3 and 6pm,the driver called at 6:26pm says lm on my way should be there in about 20 minutes that was the last I heard from them,the next morning my neighbor called and said my package was on their front porch,I told them to put it in front of my garage!when I unboxed it the plug was crushed beyond repair so I had to go buy a new plug and replace it
