Good buy! – I’m a product critic so this is a good buy for the very small family and the price was ok as well! It could make he ice faster but if you let it run it does give you that bag of ice you need I’d you love ice …good purchase for the price ❤️

you will need the cleaning feature – I’m on my third for 2022. The first had no cleaning feature and stopped producing cubes after 2 months continuous use. The second and third work fine (continuously) but require careful maintenance every two weeks or so. One has ugly gunk and black flakes in the water after a while, the other (same model) is a month younger and so far no problems. These units are best for the temporary use for extra ice at parties and celebrations. They do work continuously but shut off once the bucket is full or the water is empty. So twice a day, it’s refill time. I clean them now every other cycle with the cl feature which cycles quite a lot of water through the pipes for 6 minutes, then turns to making ice. Maintenance is delicate and a bit complicated, I use a low vinegar solution and a sink sprayer while opening the bottom drain plug. Remember not to turn unit upside down and protect the openings on the sides. Having the extra ice is very convenient.

Even though I returned the ice maker I was sent a new one by their customer service and this one seems to work just fine. That is good customer service glad they took care of my situation. Updated to 4 stars because the original one didn’t work. ******* Bought 3 weeks ago and only used for 2 weeks so far. Came down to the basement to see the “Add Water” light illuminated. There was already water almost filled to the max line. Drained it, cleaned it, and even ran the clean function on the machine. None of it helped. Just a paperweight at this point. After reading some other comments looks like I won’t be able to send it back. Guess I’ll have to try the customer service route and hope for the best.

Ice maker – This unit is great it is not that noisy when running an it makes a bacth of ice in around 8 minutes I have made a little over 16 pounds of ice in a period run more then enough for myself if you don’t have a ice maker on your refrigerator I would recommend getting one of these units for your home

Random size cubes- got a free replacement – My initial review: the first ice maker I received did not have a select button for ice size, just an on/off button and lights to indicate if it needs water, if it’s on and if it’s full. There is no way to select cube size!

Best purchase I made this summer – I don’t have an ice maker in my refrigerator and I only enjoy drinking water when it’s really cold. I finally decided to get a countertop ice maker and am glad I did. This model was recommended on one of the reviewer websites. It’s attractive to look at and use to use. It does take up counterspace but not as much as some of the models I looked at. The large size cubes are a good size and there is no taste to the ice (I use filtered water only). The only real negative feature is that it has gotten a little noisier with time. However it’s not that irritating and both the dog and I have learned to tune it out (thankfully since the barking was worse than the sound of the ice maker). The quantity of the ice made is great for my needs, and probably good for 2-4 people. For larger groups would need to make ice ahead and store in freezer.
