Worked great, for a short time. – Overall, at first, we loved this ice maker. We have gone through 3 other brands through the years. This one lasted 6 months. I liked the openness, the angled top made for easy ice getting. But 6 months in it wont make ice anymore. It runs through all its cycles as it should, but I think there was a leak in the coolent. Just stopped freezing. And as for Crownful. AWFUL communications. It comes with a year warranty, but getting a hold of them has been non existent. At least with Igloo and another brand the got back to you quickly with any problems I had. Gonna have to get another one soon and even though I love the design of this. I WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER CROWNFUL PRODUCT EVER.

Failing after 6 weeks – updated again – I had one just like this for about a year and it started making a really bad grinding noise.. I couldn’t return it at that point obviously so I just bought another this one.. And this one is now only making ice on two of the pegs after 6 weeks.. only 2 weeks after my return window.. it worked fine up until tonight.. I don’t understand.

Larger than other bullet cubes, larger capacity, larger overall – This is my third countertop ice maker and so far this is the best I have had. It is larger than my previous ones. Its capacity is 30 lbs per day instead of 6 which seems to be typical. I like that the “large” option for the ice cubes is significantly larger than the cubes from my old ice makers. The cubes last longer in drinks yet they still fit through the narrow openings of water bottles. The footprint is about the same, but the unit is taller. As far as noise, I have not measured the decibels but it seems to be the same amount of noise as my previous makers, and only noisy when it is cycling or dumping ice. The clean up is easy. I really like the straightforward display. It is easy to tell when to add water, when to empty the ice bucket, when to clean and how. My other ice makers had pairs of buttons to push to change to the cleaning cycle. If you didn’t follow the instruction booklet, it was always hard to remember how to do that. And my previous ice maker quit letting me know when to add water well before the whole unit failed.

It’s a bit loud, but it’s not annoying, unless it needs water (it kind of whines/ or squeaks as the motor tries to suck up nothing) I do wish you didn’t have to remove the basket to put fresh water in. We added a hook for the scoop. We only use filtered water bc we have well water. I’ve cleaned it with durgol monthly. No issues there. So far, so good. Very pleased with it.

Bought bags of ice for 2 days and realized that was unsustainable while we wait until the end of October for our new fridge so decided to purchase a countertop ice maker. Did copious amounts of research and found ‘the best’ one then discovered this particular brand looks EXACTLY the same as the one we decided on that was twice as much. No complaints so far except for the noise. It isn’t a huge issue, it isn’t like a 747 landing – it is about the level of a copy machine imo. Remember those? Anyway, it makes zero noise when not actively making ice and the ice stays icy for a good chuck of time. As it melts, the water returns to the well and new ice is generated. Really does make a batch of ice every 8 minutes.

Great ice maker, awesome customer service! – We love this ice maker! We’re a family of 5 and it can keep up with all our everyday needs. I purchased it about 10 months ago and we have definitely put it to use. It stopped working and went to buy one from Walmart for$125 before I had thought about the possibility of a warranty. I emailed the seller, they responded very quickly and I sent them a video of the ice maker malfunctioning and within 7 business days I received a brand new replacement. Couldn’t ask for more and will definitely do more business with. A++++

Cranks out ice in a hurry! – Only makes 9 cubes at a time but it does it quickly! Just know this is an ice maker, not a freezer. You’ll need to empty the tray into your freezer on a regular basis if you don’t want the ice to melt. We mainly use it in the RV, where ice can be hard to come by, but this kicks butt. Great to supplement your ice chests or just keep plenty of ice on hand for your whiskey and coke!
