Nice hood and easy install. – This is a nice fan. But the screens were damaged and the box wasn’t. So, I am curious how that happened. Now I have to purchase screens.

Good luck finding filters! – This is a great hood. I haven’t been able to put it to practical use yet, however it is quieter than I expected and seems to move a lot of air. Finding charcoal filters has been a challenge though. The part number listed as OEM (S97020466) is also the part number on the Broan website but they are too small for my hood. The filters that come with it are 13-7/8″ by 15-5/8″. I have not been able to locate this size yet. I ended up ordering a sheet of charcoal and will construct my own somehow.

Minimal Hardware Issues – Runs Great! Bright Lights! Much quieter than the one we threw away. The Mounting Brackets that come with these units don’t seem to ever match the Mounting Holes that are on the units, but you can still install without the brackets.

Designed for 1 90° bend in ventilation duct. – Designed for 1 90° bend in the ventilation duct while I have 3 90° bends. My exhaust flap opens only 1/2 way therefore I should have purchased the next stronger unit. Count your 90° duct bends before you estimate the power you need. My previous Broan hood lasted 30 years.
