Just buy the parts from the hardware store. You’ll need to anyway. – This is more like a recirc starter kit. There’s just enough parts to get you started and the directions basically tell you that. Nothing is long enough to get you out of the cabinet. And the grill….? seriously? Who decided that pulling a floor vent out of somebody’s trailer and packaging it with a custom hood recirc kit was a good idea? I recommend looking at these parts and just buying what you need from the hardware store. This basically gives you an elbow that blows the air at 90 degrees BUT STILL INSIDE YOUR CABINET.

kitchen remodel – Husband does high end houses, so he did our kitchen. got this and he made his own hood around it. looks fantastic and cost a lot less than other options.

Only used two pieces of the shipment but might use the other parts later – I was not aware that this was like a microwave recirculating kit. The idea of the kit is that you cut a hole in the back wall and redirect the ventilation into another room. Needless to say I have kept all the parts just in case I decide the cut the hole. Currently I have the vent directed upwards and I intend to put or something over the open vent to make sure smoke or oil does not hit the walls and ceiling.

OK – The kit is too tall for a regular cabinet. It would have worked if my cabinet maker had known the proper size to make the vent cabinet. I can’t give it a good rating because I could not use it.
