Needs a larger suction tube and a much-larger bag! – My old Craftsman leaf vacuum/blower finally died so I went looking for a new one. Since Craftsman doesn’t make leaf vacuums anymore I bought this B&D version. NOT IMPRESSED! I found out immediately that sticking the intake tube into a pile of leaves just chokes the vacuum; it had to be moved along the edge of the pile to actually vacuum leaves. The intake tube is too narrow. My old Craftsman vacuum had a 6″ wide intake and I really miss its capability. Additionally, the mulch collection bag is way too undersized for a leaf vacuum; it fills up too soon and then the vacuum chokes. Next fall, I’m going to try to adapt the old craftsman bag to the B&D vacuum. This B&D model does alright in the blower mode. The battery life is acceptable.

Will not pickup large leaves. – Not as light as I had hoped. Does a great job on small DRY debris/leaves.

Love it! – I am a partially handicapped senior woman who is still trying to maintain my yard. I needed a vacuum/blower that is lightweight enough to handle with one hand. This fills the bill. The blower is extremely powerful and the vacuum does an adequate job. My only complaint is that the battery life is very short. I need to recharge it every hour.

Good for small areas – Works well in a small area such as a deck or patio. Reasonably powerful suction for dry leaves; lightweight so easy to carry around; and bag is easy to empty. Not really suitable for a large yard – the suction, battery, and bag size are more suited to use on a small patio or deck.

Works well, but not perfect – So I bought this B&D Vacuum to help with leaves in our rocks in the back yard. It works OK. Suction is a 6-7 out of 10. It could use a stronger motor. There are times when the tube gets clogged with leaves (Big oak leaves) and I had to stop and clean those out. Also a couple times it would pick up small pebbles which sounded like they were damaging the motor so I’d have to stop, take it apart and get those out. All in all, it did its job and picked up my leaves and mulched them. If I could request something in addition to a stronger motor, it would be to have a bigger collection bag. I’d fill that thing up every 3-5 min and have to go empty it (which was a mess).

Pretty good so far – Doesnt like moist leaves on mulch and bag set up. Need to be very dry. Internal chamber can get compacted and stuck with moist damp leaves. Used mostly as a mulch and bag. Picking up small sections. Bag fills pretty quick but easy to empty. Overall ive enjoyed using it. Colorado leaves pretty dry in the fall.

lightweight! – I purchased this leaf blower/sucker about a month ago when my old corded leaf sucker (a Craftsman) gave up the ghost. I’ve used it almost every day since then to clear the many leaves from the trees that overhang my pool deck. It doesn’t have the power the Craftsman did, but it has enough and is much much lighter. At age 77, I appreciate its light weight more each day. The bag for the sucker is also relatively small so it doesn’t get too heavy and needs no awkward shoulder strap.

Easy to use – Like how easy was to use. Changing batteries. Recommend to purchase two batteries.
