Picks up WAY more than expected – I bought this due to having another carpet sweeper in the past for work. I really liked that one and knew that I wanted/needed another one in my life for around the house. This thing isn’t loud and it’s perfect for cleaning up things that I’d be scared to clean up with a vacuum. Either the size being too big or the wire clippings and rocks I find around the house (due to my husband being a construction worker and handyman) the only reason why I’m not giving it a 5 is because I’m not very thrilled with the fact that the head on it doesn’t swivel or really move at all.. it’s basic back and forth movement but, I’m still incredibly impressed with how much around the house it does pickup. I was using it on low-high pile carpet. I picked this one up due to the review video that a father and his son had done with pistachios. If you haven’t seen it yet, you NEED to. I haven’t tested it on our bathroom floors yet and will write an updated review with the details of that on a later date. So far so AMAZING though.

Does what I need it to do! – I didn’t even know they still made these! My grandma had one and I used it when I was little to help cleanup her apartment when a vacuum was too much for the job (or too scary because her big vacuum was noisy to my 5 year old ears) and my kids want to help ME clean up too…but our vacuum I’d also too loud and scary so I thought how great it would be to have a carpet sweeper. Boom done! I have lots of long hair and I do cut out of the brushes after every other use but I consider that a personal issue not a design flaw. Would recommend this for those quick pre in law visit clean up jobs.

Crappy handle, otherwise great!!! – The handle comes in 3 pieces that should be threaded to fit each other. They keep falling out of each other like a, well…nevermind.

Pleasantly Surprised – We bought this to give our Orientals a quick clean when we didn’t want to lug out the vacuum. I does a remarkably good job for this purpose.

Not as effective as my old one – The bristles on this one seem softer than the one I had for years. It doesn’t do quite the job as the previous one. I use it in the kitchen where I have commercial type carpet and my cat has his food bowls. It takes a few passes to pick up all the spilled cat food. The old one usually got all of it much quicker. Seems like the softer bristles aren’t as effective as previous versions.

Works great in classrooms, except handle. – I’m a teacher and wanted something the kids or I could use for quick clean ups. Overall it picks up crumbs, bits of paper and hair great. The only drawback is the handle. It’s poorly made and keeps coming apart from each piece and the bottom unit.

Good for helping with visible fur – Got it to pick up some of the fur my cats shed between vacuuming. Sometimes I have free time to clean later than would be okay for the noise of the vacuum cleaner. This has helped pick up some of the fur, and also the cardboard flakes from their cat scratcher. It will never be as effective as a good round with a vacuum, but it is very helpful on days I don’t vacuum.

Most Important cleaning tool for parents of toddlers – Everything you’ve ever heard about raising a toddler is true and more. I’ve never been a neat person myself, ask my mother. But nothing makes a person wanna shake their beloved mini people more than stepping out of the shower into your room freshly littered with crumbs and napkins torn up and strings that don’t belong to any fabrics you own. My daughter is the best thing that’s happened to me and the worst thing that’s happened to my carpet. So you can imagine that after a long day, the last thing I want to do is carry our heavy vaccuum around to fix a mess that I’ll only turn around and clean again within the hour. This is a light, wonderful, convenient crumb sucker. It’s exactly what I needed. At the end of the day when my little Godzilla is done making her pretzel art, I tuck her into her crib and get to work. My carpets are clean every night and messes are so easy and satisfying to pick up.
