Dissapointed – I had this Ice maker for a little over a month. While trying to clean out the water (which was filthy to begin with), the lid snapped, and I was worried about my options. Reading the users manual upon opening the product, I noticed that the product had a 12 month warranty. Adding on to the 12 month warranty, I ALSO purchased the 5 year appliance protection plan for safe keeping.

It makes restaurant type ice. – Makes up about a half gallon zip lock baggie of ice from one filling. It is very wet. I needed to put it in a bowl to let it freeze in the freezer then get an ice pick and chop it back up and put in the baggies. It would be best if it had two of these insert baskets so when one is filled you could put in a bowl and freeze then have another running.
